BIOGRAPHY OF LISA G. HAMPTON Lisa graduated from San Diego State University in 1995 earning a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. Graduating summa cum laude in 1993, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She was recognized by the department as an outstanding student in her graduating class, both as a graduate and an undergraduate student. Her experience at the University includes teaching four semesters of undergraduate exercise physiology laboratory, conducting various research including investigating energy expenditure during the Reebok Step and the Reebok Slide activities, lecturing on mind-body fitness topics, and working with clients in both the Adult Fitness Program and the Fitness Clinic. Lisa's master's thesis investigated the influence of mind-body fitness, specifically yoga, on stress and immune responses. Lisa provides her services as both a teacher and consultant in areas concerning mind-body fitness, exercise physiology, and strength training. She has worked with Shiley Sport & Health Center of Scripps Clinic, San Diego Sports Medicine, the Olympic Training Center, Sharp Healthcare and General Motors. Currently, Lisa teaches group Yoga classes at the Point Loma Assembly and the Bankruptcy Court, and conducts in-home personal training and private yoga sessions. Lisa is a Certified Personal Trainer by the American Council on Exercise and a member of IDEA (The Health and Fitness Source).
