Everyone loves fall – even here in the West where the changes are a little less obvious. Our senses are awakened by the clear brisk days, the first smells of the fireplace, and the vibrant colors of the changing leaves. The perfect pause between summer and winter, autumn is a time of calm and balanced energy ripe for contemplation. Slowing down and practicing mindfulness, we embrace the changes of this gorgeous season.


The Location
 Fall into stillness as you spend the day at a peaceful, rustic and scenic lavender farm. Lisa Hampton of Mindful Fitness leads you on a retreat at one of the most beautiful farms in the county. Located about 50 miles north of San Diego in Valley Center, Keys Creek Lavender Farm is magical and charming and will leave you feeling as if you’ve stepped into a Provencal landscape. The Experience Upon arrival, you’ll find yourself with like-minded friends seeking renewal and rejuvenation. Starting with a short tour of the lavender farm, you’ll learn about the varieties of lavender and the distillation process. Gathering on the porch of the charming store, we’ll sample several lavender oils (everyone has a favorite!). Move mindfully and take in the countryside views while practicing yoga in the new expanded yoga space at the farm. Appropriate for all levels, classes emphasize the wisdom in honoring your strengths and limitations and to be grateful for all that your body can do. Following yoga, a guided meditation will allow you to connect more deeply with Self preparing you for The Dreams and Intentions Playshop.

The Dreams and Intentions Playshop
In this new offering by Mindful Fitness, you’ll have fun exploring your values and understanding the role they play in your dreams and goals. With limitless possibilities, you’ll set intentions to manifest what you want to bring in to your life and then perform a fun ritual releasing them out to the universe.

There are several beautiful areas around the farm to sit and ponder, journal, meditate or just be for your free time. You may also wish to take a refreshing dip in the saltwater pool or soak in the lavender scented Jacuzzi! And don’t miss shopping in the delightful store surrounded by an abundance of lavender products. Water, hot tea and fruit will be available throughout your break.

The Lunch Relax with a cup of hot tea and enjoy a delicious and healthy lunch. A Chipotle bowl with brown rice, black beans, pan seared veggie medley, guacamole topped with shredded lettuce and cilantro ranch sauce will be served. Autumn is like a long awaited exhale after the exhilaration of Spring and Summer. Fall still invigorates us in a positive way, but it is slightly shifted toward contemplation. Feel the calm, embrace the inner quiet and express gratitude for this ever-changing season.
