Enchanted on the Amalfi Coast
A Luxury Yoga & Mindfulness Retreat

Breathtakingly beautiful, the Amalfi Coast of Italy captivates with its dramatic charm and idyllic pastel-colored seaside towns. The gem of the Amalfi Coast is Positano, set in a vertical panaroma of Mediterranean colors with magnificient coastal views. Perched in the hills is the sumptuous Villa San Giacomo, an 18th century private villa completely restored in 2013 and the ideal setting for a luxurious week of retreat. Breathe deeply, be present and accept the abundance that surrounds you!

The Retreat

‘The key to loving how you live is in knowing what it is you truly love.’
Sarah Ban Breathnach

Live luxuriously and enjoy the abundance of beauty, serenity and comforts of living in a private villa overlooking the sea and the colorful town of Positano. Move mindfully at your own pace so you can do as little or as much as you’d like. Yoga classes, meals and included activities are planned but always optional. The rest of the time is yours to relax at the villa, go on excursions, stroll the streets of Positano or pamper yourself with some in-house spa treatments.

Yoga
Yoga practice will be offered on most mornings before breakfast (no yoga on 2 excursion days). In the evening, a restorative yoga class will help you relax and sleep more deeply. Appropriate for beginning and intermediate level students, classes emphasize the wisdom in honoring your strengths and limitations and to be grateful for all that your body can do. All classes are taught by Lisa Hampton.

Cuisine
The scent of lemons, fresh fish, soft cheeses and irresisitible pastries: the culinary delights of a beautiful land. A cuisine abundant in fish, seafood and fruit and vegetables ripened to perfection in the Mediterranean sun. Whether it’s a plate of flavor-packed pasta or a lushiously light fish dish made with the catch of the day, you’ll enjoy some of the most delicious specialities of the region.

Vist to Ravello
Set nearly 1200 feet above the sea, Ravello is the hidden treasure of the Amalfi coast and home to iconic cliffside gardens. Along with its ravishing gardens, Ravello is known for its extraordinary views. We’ll visit the 13th century Villa Rufolo with its terraced gardens and Villa Cimbrone, famous for its Terrace of Infinity.

Path of the Gods
The Sentiero degli Dei is a walk with spectacular scenery and magnificent views of the Amalfi Coast and Capri. Approximately 3 miles, the walk begins in Bomerano and ends in Nocelle, just above Positano. After the walk, we’ll enjoy lunch in Nocelle looking over the stunning coastline before we descend 1500 steps down to Positano and back to our villa!

The Villa
A luxurious historic villa above Positano with a sweeping view of the Mediterranean, Villa San Giacomo is one of the most exclusive staffed holiday homes on the whole of Italy’s Amalfi Coast. See more of the villa Go»

Villa San Giacomo dates back to 1741, when wealthy merchants constructed the luxurious residence on the hill overlooking the harbor of Positano, from where they would be able to see their ships sailing in from sea. With frescoed ceilings, precious furniture and artworks, the villa was renovated in 2013 and offers an elegant and spacious home for our week of retreat.

Villa San Giacomo offers an idyllic and magical setting perched on the hills above Positano, the gem of the Amalfi Coast. With over 3700 sq. ft. of terraces to practice yoga, dine, read, relax, watch sunsets, and simply take in the wonder of the moment, your experience will be unforgettable.
